- Wedding Entertainment |
The music sets the tone for your wedding.
You may need two groups of performers, one
for the ceremony and another for the reception.
Live music is especially wonderful at the
ceremony. A harpist, singer, guitarist, or
string quartet adds an elegant touch to any
ceremony.
For the reception, keep in mind your own musical
desires as well as those of your guests. Choose
a band, disc jockey or other entertainment
that will accommodate as many of your guests
as possible. Maybe you would like to enjoy
a combination of two or more musical entertainers.
Perhaps mariachis or a pianist for the mingling
time followed by a band or DJ (or both) during
the remainder of the reception.
Wedding bands usually have audition nights
at which you can hear them in person. If not,
request an audio or videotape. Bridal shows
often showcase bands, other musicians, or
a DJ. Choose your DJ based on their personality,
experience, and professionalism.
With all entertainment, ask your friends,
caterer, or the photographer whom they recommend.
The music adds so much to the marriage ceremony
and the entertainment can make or break your
reception. It is very important that you select
your entertainment carefully.
